PM calls time on Casino Council

Wednesday, 27 April, 2022

Today in Parliament, I questioned the Prime Minister on Eastleigh Borough Council's astonishing level of debt. Despite the equivalent of every resident owing £6300, Eastleigh Borough Council continue to buy up land, grant themselves planning permission and develop housing estates across our green fields.

Instead of focussing on providing essential local services, the council has become the largest housing developer in the area.

The Prime Minister agrees with me that it's the last roll of the dice for the Lib Dems and it's time to vote Conservative at next Thursday's elections.

I was not surprised that the Prime Minister noted the absence of the Lib Dem leader, just as we have too many absent Lib Dem Councillors in Eastleigh.

It's time for change. It's time to vote Conservative.

Great British Rail Bid Update

Monday, 11 July, 2022

I am of course disappointed by the result of the competition, but I give my congratulations to the shortlisted locations. Eastleigh has a rich railway heritage, and would have been an excellent site for the Great British Railways headquarters.
