Today I attended the hearing for the Hamble quarry planning application and spoke out against CEMEX's plans to send 144 HGV lorries carrying thousands of tonnes of gravel day in and day out down Hamble Lane.
I made this speech on behalf of the 5,700 residents who submitted consultation responses opposing the plan as well as the schools, businesses and emergency services who detailed their opposition to the quarry.
The Committee will be deciding on this application today and I will update you as soon as I have further news.
