Parliament Week 5

This week was UK Parliament Week and I was thrilled to be invited by the The Crescent Primary School to speak with some of their Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 children who have been getting involved.

It was a pleasure to answer questions about my role as their local MP as well as listening to some of the ideas that the children had put forward as part of their manifestos. There were lots of brilliant ideas and I can't help but feel I may have been in the room with some future leaders. A big thank you to Mrs Martin also for organising such a brilliant week and for allowing me to get involved.

Great British Rail Bid Update

Monday, 11 July, 2022

I am of course disappointed by the result of the competition, but I give my congratulations to the shortlisted locations. Eastleigh has a rich railway heritage, and would have been an excellent site for the Great British Railways headquarters.
